If only I had wings
I'd fly away from here
To a land of peace and love
to a life that had no fear

If only I had wings
I'd fly to you each day
And whisper in your ear
"I Love You", is what I would say

If only I had wings
I'd take you flying with me
We could go anywhere
and everything we could see

If only I had wings
I could fly out of sight
I could leave all these daily struggles
and give up on all this fight

If only I had wings
maybe I could find life once more
Maybe I'd find my hope
and see that life's worth living for
